Surfdancer was available for Surfdancing at Main Beach Gold Coast today.
Channel 9 Gold Coast filmed Surfdancer in 3-4 ft chopy, challenging conditions, before leaving for an upturned boat at the spit.
The Gold Coast Bulletin has spent some valuable time with Surfdancer in the Gold Coast with a photo shoot at Currumbin on Friday and again at the workshop on Easter Monday. (Hoping to get some photos from the Bulletin for this page)!
Surfdancer enjoyed woking with ASL Australian Surfing Life Magazine (Tim Baker) and photographer Glen who covered the story and concept of Surfdancing in the Gold Coast. www.surfinglife.com.au
Copia Print did a great job of printing posters for the Surfdancing event (info@copiaprint.com)
Thank you to Surfdancer drummer Luke, guitarist Peter, Surf coach Brad Holmes and Surfdanzette Sammy for their participation in the Surfdancing demonstration. Luke and Peter provided the music for the morning while Sammy demonstrated the splits on the surfboard, hula hoops, pois and some surfdancing moves. Surfdancer demonstrated a yoga salute to the sun on a surfboard before leading a beach component surfdancing routine to the live music! Thanks also to Dad Paul for bringing his lovely family to the event.
Special thanks also to Brad and Bob for their set up and pack down assistance on the day and to Skinny Dippers Cafe for their nice soy latte and fresh salad.
Surfdancer is looking at holding workshops in the Gold Coast and Tweed Head area each Easter.
